Eric Kwok 廣東大碟

好開心知道 Eric Kwok 再出碟!!
由 Snowman 開始, 已經鐘意 Eric Kwok 的作品..
還記得「新歌」, 「1984」, 「中和點」, 「帝國大廈」, 「這麼好」等等..
所有 Swing 和 Eric Kwok 的唱片我也有收藏.. 因為真的很喜歡 Eric Kwok 加 Jerald 一起合作的作品..

Eric Kwok 在訪問中也有提及到, 這張唱片有兩首歌曲(「好得閒」及「而家」) 也找來 Jerald 唱和音, 感覺好像回到 Swing 時代般.. 而整張唱片內所有歌名都是用口語的廣東話來起名的, 多了一份親切感..

Eric Kwok 的聲線令人感覺好舒服, 他真是十分適合唱抒情歌的!!
從他的歌曲中亦感覺到他的真誠.. 歌詞也很直接..
尤其喜歡「冇得彈」的曲.. 所有樂器都是不可以「彈」的, 即是沒有鋼琴, 結他..
加上有 Jerald 在 background「唱」base .. 簡直是「冇得彈」呀!

其實一直以來 Eric Kwok 也有為不同歌手作曲.. (大都是很受歡迎的呀!)
例如:
陳奕迅 -- 「幸福摩天輪」,「夕陽無限好」
張學友 -- 「有個人」,「我得你」
容祖兒 -- 「撈針」
梁詠琪 -- 「煙霧瀰漫」
許志安 -- 「罪人」
最近他為葉佩雯所作的歌曲 (例如: 「死物它」) 也令我很 impressed.. 想不到 Eric Kwok 也可以 rock 的!! 他的曲是很有水準的!!

our 1st buffet in Vegas was at MGM Grand Hotel.. (& it's our Christmas Brunch)
however, it was a terrible buffet experience..
we arrived at ~12pm.. just waited for ~15 minutes & we were able to get in.. they were having the Holiday Bruch Menu.. which looked very nice as it said there would be "Chilled Oysters on the Half Shell" & "Egg Nog Crème Brûlée".. clearly that we couldn't find these in the buffet.. & all the other food looked very unattractive.. after getting one round of food, both LG & i didn't have the "motivation" to go get another round..



here's their "menu".. there seemed to be a lot of food choices but that's not what we saw..

we lined up for ~45 mins before we could get a table for 2..
since the hotel was pretty grand itself, we expected that their buffet should be better than what we had earlier in the afternoon.. luckily, they were much better!!

Fish Monger.. Fresh Fish Selections

the crab legs were cut into half so that we could "pull out" the crabmeat easily..
it seemed to me that there were many asian food.. & LG said the prime rib was good too!

it's located next to the registration lobby.. overlooking the magnificent Roman Plaza.. it's a 24-hrs casual dining..

since we were arriving late at night, ~ 11pm, we could only catch a late dinner at this Café in the hotel we stayed at..



LG wanted soup so he orderd a French Onion Soup..




as we didn't want to be so full before sleep, we just ordered some snacks.. Onion Rings & Buffalo Wings..

a little "accident" happened during this late dinner which made the first dining experience in Vegas a bit bad.. but anyway, the food were ok.. & there seems to have lineup all the time..

well.. 1st night in Vegas.. looking forward to the next day!!

楊千嬅 Unlimited

等了楊千嬅這張唱片很久..
從「大儍」到「我的生存之道」, 都是自己很喜歡的歌曲; 到聽過「她成功了他沒有」之後, 更令我讚嘆林夕填詞的出神入化.. 從歌名看來, 好像是說女的變得好而男的卻不好, 但當仔細將歌聽完後, 才發現是剛剛相反--「他得到髮妻的愛　他的女友偏卻得到理想失去愛」.. 林夕就好像在說一個愛情故事般, 有很多畫面浮現出來.. 自己很喜歡一些有故事性的歌曲, 再加上側田將這首歌編得十分連貫, 好像音樂盒的旋律般, 真的好像在看連續劇一樣..

另一首我很喜歡的歌曲就是「大儍」..
很喜歡 Eric Kwok 的曲, 和林夕的詞..
其實我第一次留意到這首歌是因為一個朋友.. 她把這首歌部份的歌詞放在她的 blog 上, 吸引我很想知道這究竟是甚麼歌.. 歌詞真的很好.. 只要常存感恩的心, 再簡單的生活也可以很快樂..
