LG & I celebrated our wedding anniversary @ Ottawa.. The Tulip Festival.. (can't believe it's already a year!!)
however, it was raining when we arrived there..
so we went inside Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel & enjoy a light lunch..
the food on the menu looked quite interesting to us..
they do offer traditional english-style high tea..
(which we saw some ladies enjoying there..)
they also have some 'Light Bites'..
such as what we have ordered..
1. Newfoundland Crab Cakes.. Chipotle & Lime Mayonnaise, Pea Shoot Salad
2. Panko Crusted Fried Tuna "Nuggets".. with Sweet Soy, Orange & Chili Sauce, Wasabi infused Mayonnaise
3. Atlantic Seafood Chowder.. Seafood & Vegetables in a Creamy White Wine Veloute
all taste good & "new".. we never tried Tuna in this way.. Crab Cake was a bit small in portion but they were really stuffed with Crabmeat.. & the Chowder was with lots of seafood.. unlike others that with mainly potatoes..
we ordered a cocktail too..
it's called Chocolate Evergreen.. which is.. Peppermint Schnapps, Creme de Cacao, Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Whipped Cream, Garnished with Chocolate Shavings
although it's raining, we still managed to capture some beautiful pictures of tulips.. ^_^
