we were planning to go to Miyabi for dinner, but we forgot that it was closed on Monday!!! so we came to 小金井 instead.. but kinda disappointing.. esp. with the Amaebi.. they were like frozen!!!!

..this was amazing.. how they can cut a Winter Melon (冬瓜) into this shape & stuffed vegetables & 齋 inside!! really cool!

Joso's becomes the "must-go" place when we have friends/relatives come to Toronto for visit.. & it never disappoints us..

we noticed that their tea pot was handmade by themselves..

here's their Seafood intro.. with all kind of fishes in season..

Fish Soup
A tomato vegetable broth with morsels of Red Snapper, Pargo, Sargo & rice..
..LG tried it, which had a strong fish taste.. he liked it!

Calamari alla Kornati

..Joso's renowned lightly floured deep fried squid..

Alla Siciliana

..Unique to Joso's, a rarely prepared sauce of sepia simmered in its ink..
..we had two orders.. & this tasted better than the risotto!!!! much like the one we had in Vienna!! ***** MUST EAT*******!!!!

Clams, Mussels and Shrimp Jadera
..Three varieties of shellfish sauteed with white wine, garlic, parsley & a hint of tomato sauce..

we tried the Arctic Char.. it tasted like Salmon..

they grilled it very well, it had a lighter flavor than Salmon..

..the ice-cream was tooooo "almond"!!

FINALLY i could go try this restaurant.. as i've heard so many good reviews & many recommendations..

we were so excited when we saw the cake selection upon arrival.. so tempting!!

we came here for lunch & we ordered LOTS of food!!! let's start with appetizers..

Avocado Eggrolls
..Avocado, Sun-Dried Tomato, Red Onion & Cilantro Fried in a Crisp Wrapper. Served with a Tamarind-Cashew Dipping Sauce
..this was really yummy esp. when many of us love avocado..
