Date: October 4, 2008 (Saturday)
Day 1
it was a chilly weekend, & we went to Mont-Tremblant.. (which made it even colder!!)
our first stop was at Upper Canada Village.. it's a Heritage Park where brought us back to the 1860s' life.. & the staff there are all wearing the 1860s' costumes, & "pretending" to be living the 1860s' life..
Broom-maker's House
..they made brooms to generate additional family income..
Cook's Tavern & Livery
this is the old-times 「客棧」(inn).. the taven keeper offered accommodation, food & beverages..
there is a price-list posting up telling u how much for lodging, meals, & livery..
i took a pic of this table becoz we have a similar folding table in hk too!!
Crysler Store
it's like a small department store.. with all kinds of goods, e.g. tea, sugar, spices, & medicines..
Bakery
the bakeries in 19th century used to produce bread in large quantities to sustain railway, canal, & other itinerant workers who were fed on the job.. but they still make bread daily now..
visitors can travel on a horse-drawn Wagon..
we saw black pigs inside the Loucks Farm..
after visiting Upper Canada Village, we went straight to Mont-Tremblant.. we stayed in Fairmont Tremblant.. it's great & with a nice view!
after checking-in, we started looking for places to have some light food (as we won't be able to have dinner until 9pm!) the guide recommended this Crepe place to us..
Creperie Catherine
Phone: (819) 681-4888
they have all these colorful & cute cartoons as decor..
we ordered a Dessert Crepe to share among us four.. it's big enough for sharing!
Catherine Crush.. with Crepe, Sucre A La Creme, Banana, Ice-Cream, Whipped Cream & "Crunch"
for dinner, we had the FANTASTIC Surf, Turf & Sushi Buffet @ Fairmont Hotel.. it was fully-booked.. & since we didn't make reservation, we have to wait until 9pm before they could accomodate us.. but it's worth the wait!!!
the crab legs & oysters were very fresh.. & there 2 diff types of smoke salmon & both tasted good! LG said the prime rib was great too!
the buffet is available every Friday & Saturday from 5:30pm-9:30pm, at the Windigo Restaurant.. reservation is highly recommended!!
