i'm back to the "blogging" mode again.. & "exploring" new restaurant..

from our last visit to Go For Tea, we were very disappointed at their service & food, & thought we might not be able to find "good" Taiwanese food here in Toronto again.. but after our visit to Deli Viet tonite, we know we still have hope!!



the environment was very nice.. feel very comfortable.. & we were so excited when we first saw the menu.. coz there were lots of Taiwanese Night Market Snacks.. (i've scanned a page of the take-out menu here)





Bubble Milk Green Tea 珍珠奶綠
..besides tapioca, they also added longan pulp (桂圓肉).. made the milk tea tasted very good.. & i guess i'm very outdated.. it's my 1st time seeing this kind of "tea pot".. ZA told me that it's quite popular in HK.. very nice.. (we took a clip of how it works but sadly there's some problem with the upload..)

Smelly Deep Fried Tofu 脆皮臭豆腐
..it didn't really smell from the outside.. but when we ate it, u could definitely smell it.. i read about this from ccue, & the boss said, the key is the oil that used for deep frying the tofu, it has to be changed often.. otherwise, the whole restaurant will smell badly..

Chef's Special Deep Fried Egg 招牌炸蛋
..2 eggs in 1 order.. it's like Soyed Egg (魯蛋) but crispy on the outside..

Deep Fried Toast Stuffed w/ Chicken & Vegetable In Creamy Sauce 特製棺材板
..the toast on the top tasted like the snack we used to eat when we were kids: "桃哈多".. it's a bit sweet.. & with a creamy sauce.. we tasted coconut in it..

Pan-fried Baby Oyster, Egg & Vegetable Pie w/ Chef's Special Sauce 轉角蚵仔煎
..the oysters were very "鮮味".. & we liked the sauce..

Popcorn Chicken w/ Salt & Pepper 第一家鹽酥雞
..crispy & the chicken was very tender..

Soyed Minced Pork on Rice 故鄉內魯肉飯
..we liked the cucumber(青瓜) on the side..

Soft Noodle Soup w/ Pork Intestine 大腸麵線
..it tasted very much like the one i had in Taipei "阿宗麵線"!!! i miss it soooo much!! but the only thing was, this one came with just a few pieces of pork intestine..

we noticed that some guests ordered the stir-fried dishes, & the portion was quite big..

LG & i like this restaurant.. (LG didn't really like Taiwanese food but he also said the food was good in here!) definitely will come again & will recommend this to others too!!

since we spent $50+, we had a chance to play the lucky draw (幸運轉輪抽獎).. there were many different prizes, e.g. free dishes, free drink, 10% off, etc.. & we got the best one, the VIP card.. which we can have 15% off with our VIP card..

re parking, there's a green parking at the back of the restaurant.. & the restaurant will pay for the 1st hr IF you brought in the receipt of your parking ticket..

p.s. AC did add a comment too.. he said their washroom was clean..
