some friends have recommeded this restaurant for their authentic Japanese food.. they said i gotta go try it at least once.. the price seems to be expensive, but if it's authentic, i'll definitely go for it!! & yes, the food & the service were excellent!! it seems like we ate non-stop.. there were many courses..
we tried the Takumi set ($120 for 9 courses) & the Waza set ($100 for 7 courses)..
Uzaku - vinegared eel & cucumber
..it's 鰻魚 + 酸瓜 + 海帶
Steamed littleneck clam w/ sake & butter sauce
Simmered eggplant w/ somen noodle & boiled egg w/ dashi
..it's like 溫泉蛋..
Radish cake stuffed w/ simmered octopus
Onion & shrimp cake tempura
Sashimi
..as i remember, there r fatty tuna, yellowtail, trout, amaebi (sweet shrimp) & salad..
(right) it's potato + fish + onion (can't remember which kind of fish thou..)
Butter squash stuffed with chicken cake
Grilled halibut with butter & soy sauce

The food looks excellent and great presentation - but how about the taste? The two orders costed $220, were they for 2 people or for 4 people?
they tasted good! very fresh!! but it's expensive.. $220 + tax + tips for 2 ppl..
Hi, I was wondering if the 7 course set and 9 course set are the same dishes but with two less dish, or are they all completely different dishes as well? Was the 7 dishes significantly less food?
Hi Ivan,
It has been a while so I don't remember exactly.. What I do remember is that we were both very full after the dinner.. so I believe the food should be enough even with just 7 courses..
Oh, thanks for the help. I'm planning to go this weekend and order two of the $120 sets, but thought if the $100 offered a different dishes, we may opt for one of each just like you. =)
good idea!
hope u'll have a great dinner there!
