we r not very keen on veggie dishes.. but Fusion veggie dishes sounds interesting to me.. (even thou LG said he's still hungry afterwards..)

..it looked very much like the real Salmon Sushi Pizza.. esp. the texture of the "Salmon"..

..i think it's pretty good..

..not good as i heard.. not hot enough..

been here twice.. was a bit pricy.. food was just so-so..

saw it from their menu..
ippai (pronounce as ip-pa-i), meaning a cup of, a glass of, full
example: (noun) ramen ippai -- a cup of noodle
(adj) o na ka ippai -- my appetite is fully satisfied

石鍋飯
..LG said the 石鍋飯 at 森石 is better.. 哈哈!

came here earlier in January & took some shots with my phone (not so clear pictures).. our first impression was.. "it (the noodle) was a big bowl!!"

(left) Spicy Soup Ramen $7.5
..the soup base is good..
(right) 豬軟骨拉麵 Tenderous Ribs Ramen $9.95
..the soup had a 薑醋味, which we didn't like it.. it didn't match with the 豬軟骨拉麵!!!

炎三文魚腩卷 Salmon Belly Tataki Roll $9.95
..with Salmon belly, deep dried shrimp, crab meat, cucumber, avocado, masago
..this combination was pretty good..

Seafood@Home

it's Valentine's day + Chinese New Year.. LG & i decided to celebrate by having a Seafood feast at home!! Yeah!!!

here r 5 dozens of Kusshi Oysters ($68.88) in a box!



a dozen of Cherrystone Clams
..very very hard to shuck them.. a lot more difficult than shucking oysters!

we both were soooooo full & we couldn't finish them all!!!

香茅煎雞翼


香茅煎雞翼

喜歡煮雞翼, 因為簡單方便.. 所以不斷找尋不同的煮法.. 今次嘗試用香茅, 效果不錯! 下次還可以用香茅來煮豬扒或其他肉類!



材料: 雞中翼 20隻、急凍香茅碎 1 湯匙、李錦記香茅醬 50g、鹽適量、胡椒碎粒適量

做法:
1. 先將雞中翼洗淨抹乾,加入鹽及胡椒碎粒攪勻,略醃。
2. 再加入李錦記香茅醬攪勻,將其放入保鮮袋封好,放入雪櫃醃一晚,備用。
3. 將鑊用猛火燒紅,加油後轉用中小火,慢慢逐隻雞翼放入,不時要將雞翼兩面反下, 煎至兩面都變金黃色,及確保兩面都熟透(呢個步驟要俾啲耐性,唔好心急,唔好貪快用猛火煎,用太猛火會令雞翼變焦但內裡雞肉仍然生嘅情況出現)。
4. 當香茅雞翼完全熟透後,熄火,將香茅雞翼逐一排好於碟上,完成。

it's located where 小南國 used to be..

it's the new AYCE Jap food that GK told me about (it also served A La Carte).. some friends of her tried & said it was good.. we went there to give it a try.. there were a few items which you seldom eat at other AYCE, e.g. Scallop Sushi, & Beef Sushimi, which were pretty good.. the rest were just normal AYCE quality.. we paid $47 incl. t&t..

日式燒汁煎雞翼 Teriyaki chicken wings


日式燒汁煎雞翼

用萬字日式照燒汁來煮的,很方便,味道也不錯。再加入松茸菇,感覺還健康一點!嘻嘻!


材料: 雞翼、萬字日式照燒汁適量
(因為有之前用剩的松茸菇,所以我用來一起煮)
醃料: 蠔油1湯匙、日本豉油3茶匙、糖1湯匙、麻油適量、水適量、生粉適量

做法:
1. 雞翼用醃料醃20分鐘,再快火無油煎至金黃。
2. 加熱水到蓋過2/3雞翼,蓋上蓋焗10分鐘或至全熟,開蓋。
3. 加入松茸菇,把汁蒸發至乾身。
4. 倒入日式照燒汁兜勻,上碟即成。

we came here for just one thing.. the best 星州炒蘿蔔糕 in town.. (if anyone knows better than this, please please let me know!!!)

this is my favorite..
星州炒蘿蔔糕 Chilli Turnip Patties $5.5
..i couldn't find any place better than this..
it's crispy on the outside 有外脆內軟的感覺!!!
