Boston Pizza

Boston Pizza
Address: 157 York Boulevard, Richmond Hill (Hwy 7 & 404)
Phone: (905) 707-9300

it's a big headache every time to decide on where to eat.. (especially when everyone has no preference at all..) & finally, ZA suggested going to Boston Pizza.. this was when we realized that the Swiss Chalet in Parkway has closed down & now become Boston Pizza..

to start, we ordered Nachos & Wing Platter..
Nachos were said to be Freshly made, hand-cut tortilla chips layered with cheddar & mozzarella, topped with olives, green pepper, tomato & jalapeño peppers. Salsa & sour cream on the side.. we also added Guacamole (the green sauce made of avocado).. ZA loves it soo much..

Boston's famous wings were Oven roasted.. we chose Honey Garlic & Mild flavours..
ZA said it's the most juicy wings she has ever ate in toronto..

we had a medium Boston Royal Pizza, which was made of Signature pizza sauce, mozzarella, smoked ham, pepperoni, shrimp, olives, green pepper, onion & mushrooms..

we also had a Chicken & Mushroom Fettuccini.. which was Sautéed tender chicken breast & fresh mushrooms, tossed in a creamy alfredo with fettuccini, chopped tomato and green onions..

after the main courses, the waitress brought a plate of desserts to us..

we thought those were real!!!
but we soon found out that those were just for display.. the waitress brought in to show us so that we could pick our dessert.. & we decided to go for the Colossal Rolo Ice Cream Cake.. which was a mountain of chocolate & Rolo ice cream finished with chocolate & caramel sauce.. it's said to be a decadent combination you can't resist.. & perfect for sharing.. which was very true.. the portion was really big enough for 4 ppl sharing..

i like the cake most.. & the "desserts platter display"!!!

Way Back Into Love

I’ve been living with a shadow overhead
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I’ve been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can’t seem to move on

I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need ‘em again someday
I’ve been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love

I’ve been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I’ve been searching but I just don’t see the signs
I know that it’s out there
There’s got to be something for my soul somewhere

I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night

I could use some direction
And I’m open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end

There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end

Runaway Jury

Title: Runaway Jury
Cast: John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, Rachel Weisz
Directed by: Gary Fleder
Release Date: October 9, 2003
Genre: Suspense/ Drama

i watched this movie months ago & really wanna share about it.. saw some reviews & people r comparing the movie with the novel.. i haven't read that novel, but i love this movie.. it had great cast: John Cusack, Rachel Weisz, Gene Hackman & Dustin Hoffman, all acted superbly.. it has a cat-and-mouse type plot.. intense but with good pacing, & some surprising twists and turns.. & it unfolds beautifully.. it's an interesting legal thriller story that would keep u wondering until the last minute..

Here's the summary i found online:
The Runaway Jury is a thriller about manipulating the outcome of a major trial.
Nicholas Easter (John Cusack) is a mysterious man selected for jury duty in a New Orleans trial against a national gun manufacturer. The trial is brought to court by the widow of a slain man who was executed in a mass shooting. Eleven were killed and five more were severely injured. The woman is suing the gun manufacturer for their liability in selling the gun used in the killing spree. Her attorney is Wendell Rohr (Dustin Hoffman), who is with tons of energy and flavor. On the other side of the courtroom sits Rankin Fitch (Gene Hackman), who is the big-shot 'hired gun' of the defendants.

However, neither of the lawyers yet know that they have very little to do with the final verdict. That verdict is for sale. The price is $10 million. The bribers are Marlee (Rachel Weisz) and Easter (John Cusack) himself, as the most influential member of the jury. They offer to sway the verdict to the highest bidder.

manipulating a panel of 12 people -- it's all about high-tech stalking, intimidation, daring & risk..

definitely recommending it!!

Opening Hours: Mon-Fri: 12-2pm / Mon-Sun: 5-10pm

saw lot of good reviews about this restaurant.. & we went there for an early Valentine's Day dinner.. which was very full & satisfying..

we ordered the Live Lobsters Dinner, one Steamed & one Broiled.. 1 1/2 lb. for $39.75.. which included a basket of garlic rolls & your choice of one of the following: baked potato, french fries, rice or fresh garden salad (Caesar add $2).. & we picked the salad & the fries..

we actually added $7.25 extra to have the soup & a non-alcoholic beverage..
here's the Lobster Bisque & Clam Chowder.. both were yummy!!
lots of Lobster chunks in the Lobster Bisque & lots of ingredients in the Clam Chowder as well..
the Steamed Lobster was said to be "Succulent, Natural, Healthy, Pure & No additives"
the Broiled Lobster was said to be "Breaded, Buttered, Finished Golden Brown"
LG & i agreed that the Steamed Lobster was better; as it said, "more Natural" & fresh..
Some funny facts:
  • By the time a lobster reaches the weight of 1 lb., it's already 7 years old.
  • Lobsters will grow to phenmenal sizes, sometimes as large as 65 lbs., shedding their shells as they grow.
  • A female lobster lays approximately 30,000 eggs of which only about 10 lobsters survive to the 1 lb. weight.

this restaurant was used to be at Victoria Park & Finch.. & now had moved to Richmond Hill.. since it is specialty in Shanghai Food, we ordered some to try.. the Shanghai Dim Sum, i.e. Steamed Pork Dumplings (小籠包) & Fried Pork Dumplings (鍋貼), tasted very good.. very juicy.. & LG said it's very 「入味」, 比「味香邨」更好味!

Sticky Rice Roll (鹹栥飯) & Roasted Pork & BBQ Pork (燒肉+叉燒拼盤)
these were so-so.. the waiter even said they just took the BBQ Pork out from the microwave.. hmm..

Chicken & Wonton w/Soup in Pot (砂窩雲吞雞)
湯底味道香濃.. this was the best of the dinner..

General Tso's Chicken (左宗雞)
a bit sweet & a bit spicy.. 很美味!

咸蛋肉碎菜膽 & 蒸魚
the veggie was good.. 加入咸蛋令它更香口..
the fish was a little bit overcook, but just "a bit".. & my friends said the fish was very fresh..

when the waiter saw me taking pictures, he came by saying that i'm "stealing" their food ideas (not seriously i guess, at least he didn't ask me to stop..) LG & i immediately said "we r promoting for u".. my friends said he should give us discounts.. he said maybe he should charge us more instead.. :P
but later on during our dinner, he came by several times asking if the dishes were ok.. he said the 栥飯 wasn't always so "big" in size.. well well.. & the presentation for the 左宗雞 looked nicer.. we said that the chef might had set it up nicer so that we could take better pics.. hee hee..
