our 1st buffet in Vegas was at MGM Grand Hotel.. (& it's our Christmas Brunch)
however, it was a terrible buffet experience..
we arrived at ~12pm.. just waited for ~15 minutes & we were able to get in.. they were having the Holiday Bruch Menu.. which looked very nice as it said there would be "Chilled Oysters on the Half Shell" & "Egg Nog Crème Brûlée".. clearly that we couldn't find these in the buffet.. & all the other food looked very unattractive.. after getting one round of food, both LG & i didn't have the "motivation" to go get another round..

here's their "menu".. there seemed to be a lot of food choices but that's not what we saw..

Cravings
Hotel: The Mirage
Address: 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas
Phone: (702) 791-7111
Opening Hours: 7-11am, 11am-3pm, 3-10pm/ Sat&Sun Brunch 8am-3pm
Adults $29.95

we lined up for ~45 mins before we could get a table for 2..
since the hotel was pretty grand itself, we expected that their buffet should be better than what we had earlier in the afternoon.. luckily, they were much better!!

there were 12 stations:
Noodles.. Assorted Dim Sum, Noodle Soup
Raw Bar.. Shrimp, Cocktail, Crab Legs, Ceviche
Fish Monger.. Fresh Fish Selections
Sushi.. California Rolls, Nigiri Sushi Selection
Asian.. Wok Specialties, Fried Rice, etc.
Salad & Deli.. Hand-Tossed Salads, Vegetarian Selection
Dessert.. Italian Gelato Bar, Assorted Cakes, Sugar-Free Selection
Italian.. Wood-Fired Pizzas, Pasta
Carving.. Prime Rib, Daily Selection
Rotisserie.. Roasted Meats, Chicken, Pickled Salads
Latin.. Spit-Roasted Marinated Meats
BBQ.. Traditional Barbeque-Smoked Meats

the crab legs were cut into half so that we could "pull out" the crabmeat easily..
it seemed to me that there were many asian food.. & LG said the prime rib was good too!
