when LG first went into the restaurant, his 1st comment was "it's like the restaurant in Guangzhou (廣州)".. i guess it was the decor & the atmosphere giving him this impression..
酸辣湯 Hot & Sour Soup $3.95
..this was good.. with both spicy & sour taste..
蟹粉小籠包 Dumpling Crab & Pork Meat $7.99
奶油津白 Braised Chinese Cabbage with Cream Sauce $8.95
苔條黃魚 Crispy Fish with Seaweed $12.95
..it was strange that it came with Salad dressing.. last time i had it in Ala they gave us Ketchup.. both were weird.. i remember when i had this in Vancouver, we had fish sauce (魚露) instead.. that's authentic.. miss it so much!!
擔擔麵 Soup Noodles with Spicy Sauce $4.99
..LG likes the noodle.. said the "texture" was good.. but i don't like the soup base.. didn't really like the soup base for 擔擔麵..
hmm.. i will still be looking for authentic Shanghai Food..

Have been reading you blog for a while, and thank you for sharing many good restaurants for me to try :)
Anyway, this place "Skyland de Shanghai" is really just so so. To be honest, after trying so many Shanghai restaurants in Toronto, have to said, none of them are close to authentic......

ya.. i agree with u.. kinda disappointed.. i guess we just have to keep having faith that one day there will be an authentic Shanghai restaurant in Toronto!
