it's saturday & we wanna try something new for brunch.. my cousin told me about this restaurant.. saying that it's originated by a housewife, Cora.. her husband died & leaving her with 3 kids to take care of.. so she used the money to open up a canteen to serve homestyle breakfast.. & soon it became very famous in Montreal, esp. for their omelettes & waffles..
we arrived at ~1pm & there was a lineup outside the restaurant.. we waited for ~20mins in order to get a table..

when we first went in, it gave us a warm feeling.. decorated with lots of colorful signs on the walls.. & the waitresses are nice too.. it's open kitchen & u can see the chefs preparing the food.. & lots of colorful fruits around the place..

while lining up, we noticed that there's something written on the board at the entrance, saying "Cocktail of the Day", which was made of Mango, Peach, Banana, Cranberry & Pineapple.. it seemed to be an interesting combination so we tried it.. & the taste was good, not too sweet nor sour.. while we also tried their Cafe Latte, which was good too..

we tried the Cora's Special, which has 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage & crepe, with toasts & roasted potatoes..

& the Eggs Ben-et-Dictine, i.e. two poached eggs on an English muffin covered with Hollandaise sauce (yummy!!) served with roasted potatoes & fresh fruits.. we ordered the one with Brie & mushrooms..

the presentation of their food was very nice as all dishes would decorated with lots of fruits (& u can eat the fruits too).. u'll feel like having a very healthy breakfast.. it's a bit pricy thou.. but i think the Benedict was particularly good & worth trying it.. & the portion was big & enough for two people as breakfast..

there will be one opening up soon in Warden & Hwy 7..

here's a page of their colorful menus.. & u can find more on their website..
